Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Defentrium website, browser extension, API, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Service
Defentrium provides automated, non-intrusive web application security analysis, performance insights, and AI-assisted remediation guidance. Results are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute a guarantee that a website is free of vulnerabilities.
3. Authorized use and scanning
You may only submit URLs that you own or are otherwise explicitly authorized to test. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to scan any target.
You agree not to use the Service to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system, or to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice.
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Usage limits apply per plan (for example, daily scan counts and project limits). Exceeding your plan may require an upgrade.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by reverse engineering, reselling, overloading our infrastructure, circumventing plan limits, or using automated means to abuse the platform.
7. Intellectual property
Defentrium and its content, software, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the data you submit; you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every security issue.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Defentrium will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
